FCPC faculty gears up for school year 2015-2016
Updating and upgrading teachers’ competency is one of the main thrusts of First City Providential College as it has institutionalized the annual Professional Growth Seminar for its faculty members.
Relevant and timely topics so needed by the mentors are chosen and resource speakers expert in their fields are invited to speak and share their expertise.
Among those invited to discuss different teaching strategies in Math, Science, and other subjects are: Mr. Talento T. Castro, an expert on Singaporean Math and Mr. Ernesto Guillermo Sr. who tackled science.
Since financial management is crucial to teachers who must learn to budget their income, the College invited Mr. Pedro R. Briones Jr., a financial adviser and certified investment solicitor. His topic was Financial Planning 101.
The afternoon session was capped by a resource talk about how and why FCPC’s tagline, the First, the Best and how in its 31 years of existence it has achieved the culture of excellence.
Mr. Joel E. Savella, Computer Education Coordinator and one of the pioneering teachers who witnessed this college metamorphosed into what it is today, did the honors of tracing the roots of the college and focusing on what it envisions to be in the years ahead to be the First, the Best in the service of God, Country and Humanity.
